I promised to let you know how the newsletter online would work. . . . My time to keep it current and maintain it would be like yours, donated. All you would have to give me is the file, including the picture files, for the newsletter in the MS Publisher format that you are use to producing. I would need these about 10 days before you want it put on the site.
The newsletter format would be Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) files at the site. The program to read them is a free download from Adobe that can be downloaded from the Internet. By using the Adobe format at the site, no one would be required to buy any programs to read it.
I am working on the details now to password protect the site so that only those that need to see it will get to see it. This will protect the anonymity of the classmates cited in the newsletter. I do not anticipate a problem getting this done.
I will provide the site address and password . . . for you to include in the newsletter when you give me the OK to set it up. In the mean time, I will set up a proposed cover at the following site address: www.Gaudette-Net.com/Westfield_HS_1959 . Give me about a week to get it put there.
I think this will save publishing and mailing costs. It should reduced your work load. It will also provide access to the newsletter to all that have access to the Internet no mater where they are. Anyone that does not have a computer and access to the Internet of their own will be able to get it online at most public libraries that provide access to the Internet. In addition, it will provide a way to publish timely notices of importance to the class.
