This sample photograph is the worst of our family's 35mm slides. It is a shot of Mt. McKinley, taken in the early 1960's. Not all the slides from the 1960's looked this bad, just the ones from this particular batch.
The first image is the raw scan, as it appears in the bulk scans. If you got out your slide projector and showed the original slide this is how it would look. This slide looks ruined!
This next image is using "Auto Fix" in Adobe's PhotoDeluxe. This is great considering you just click "Fix" and it does the work for you.
And this revision took three minutes work with PhotoDeluxe's color settings. This is much better ... the photograph wasn't lost, it was just hiding!
